library

Welcome to our medical library for Indian pg-medical aspirants!

Here we are introducing an innovative model of virtual library for Indian pg-medical aspirants using google books API. Here  is a collection of favorite books of Indian medicos.

Books are given in two pages for comfortable use ( basic science and clinical ).

      About our library

In our experience, original google book search is a great way of citing reference for an information. But its difficult to do ante grade study using google books. Because searching with a keyword retrieves thousands of results in google books and it becomes difficult for a reader to find a viewable, standard and appropriate book for that topic quickly.

This project will help pg-aspirants to read/refer a topic quickly from a standard and credible book. In our experience most of the Indian pg aspirants do not have access to a good library.  Also its not possible for them to buy all the books. This library will help them to read a specific topic in ante grade way from a standard book quickly and comfortably from home. Even if you are not an Indian pg aspirants, this collection can still help you in the same way because it has a good collection of books arranged in a subject wise manner.

Want to back up an information from standard and credible books? Or want to know a topic in more depth? Try searching in original Google books to search across millions of books.

Google Books

      guideline for using our library

Follow this guideline for better use of our library.

  1. choose the book you want to read

The part of the book we display is actually google-preview. Whole book is not displayed. Hence it is better that you first choose a topic you want to read in ante grade manner or you want to read it from such a book which is not available/accessible to you.

Next you go through our collection to see any book/alternative book is available which can possibly meet your demand. Also see its one liner description to know how much of that book is available to read for free.

The key feature is wheather navigation from content is possible or not.

Chapters can be navigated from contents = it means that after you open the book and go to its content page, you can directly go to any chapter by clicking over the chapter in the content list. It will save your time in finding your topic.

Note: it may not take you to the exact page always. Explore surrounding pages to find your topic.

No navigation = it means that, you can open the content page. But no direct navigation facility is available. You have to search for your topic by searching in the search box associated with your book. This process may cost you some time.

  1. read the book and take notes.

If navigation is possible, we suggest that you first open the content and then click on the chapters ( hovering the mouse over the chapter will give a link sign ) . open the chapter.

Navigate through your chapter . don’t move the scroller directly. You will lose controll. Rather click on scroller and then use the arrow (^> ) tabs in your keyboard to move through pages. Alternately use the arraw buttons on the top and bottom part of your scroller and click over them with your mouse.

As you can not take printout from Google books, you should take note from the topic you read.

  1. use alternate resources

If you are not satisfied with a book, there are other things you can do.

    • Search in another book.
    • Use our search engine.
    • Use proper google book search(search box is at the bottom of the page) to find reference or to  back up any information from credible source.
    • Suggest a book in our feedback page. We will try to include in our booklist for future users.
